Cabaran Politik & Perundangan Untuk Merealisasikan AEC

Before this, I have shared an article about the statement from the Deputy Governor of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Saeed Ahmad – the 2nd time attempt to revive the Islamic Finance in Pakistan. And now, I would like to share an article by the former SBP’s governor, Ishrat Hussain opinion, regarding the reviving of Islamic Finance for the 2nd time (if I can say it) in Pakistan and the challenges that they are facing now. Give Islamic Finance a Chance?

By: Muhammad Jawed In the wake of the 2008 financial melt-down, bankers and regulators appeared to start talking seriously about adopting the more stable and transparent principles of Islamic finance, as opposed to the harum-scarum and frequently dishonest manipulations of the conventional financial markets. Yet in the past 18 months, the focus on the widespread use of the ethical precepts of Islamic finance appears to have disappeared, except where it can be used to drum up business in the Muslim world. London now fancies itself as the leading center for Shariah-compliant finance, claiming to have overtaken Kuala Lumpur. This is not the only cause for concern. Banking regulators in US…

    Pendapatan Meningkat, Jiwa Tetap Resah?

Apa tujuan mempelajari kemahiran mengurus harta? Tujuannya supaya dapat mengenalpasti cara…

Sektor Kewangan Islam Yang Semakin Berkembang di Indonesia

Bernardo Vizcaino | Reuters Indonesia’s Islamic banks maintained double-digit asset growth last year while rural and non-bank segments made further gains, broadening the industry’s consumer base in Southeast Asia’s largest economy. Indonesia has the world’s largest Muslim population, but that potential has yet to fully translate into the country’s Islamic banking sector which remains underdeveloped, lagging behind neighbour Malaysia. Islamic banking assets grew by 24.2 percent to 242.3 trillion rupiah ($21.4 billion) last year, giving the sector a 4.9 percent share of total banking assets, data from Indonesia’s financial service authority or Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) showed. Indonesia’s 11 full-fledged Islamic banks added 32.7 trillion rupiah worth of assets in…
